Drop In & Play

When the Drop In & Play first opened in the local mall, I thought it was the strangest thing I had seen. Who would pay for their kids to play. I had much better things to do with my coveted spending money.

Then I realized the true meaning of the Drop In & Play. You drop your kid off so you can shop on your own. The endless possibilities of shopping, eating or watching a movie at the mall kid-free were appealing. The enclosed area locks the kids in with an attendant. The kids are then free to play with any number of toys, climbing towers, slides, video games or watch a movie. All things they do rather than hang off your legs while you shop.

Another benefit to the Drop In & Play is that for half the price you can stay with your child while they play. Today Munchkin and I joined some other moms for a get together at the mall. While the kids were entertaining themselves exploring, us moms got a chance to chat. It's worth the small hourly fee to not have to worry about imposing at someone else's house or cleaning your own.

Now I see the benefits, we'll definitely be dropping in more.

Have you and Munchkin gone to the bounce and play yet? I've heard good things about it. I think it's $6 an hour for unlimited play. Anywho, we should take the urchins sometime and go.

I haven't been there yet, but I read about it in the paper. It looks fun!
